Made in Godot for the Untitled Game Jam # 112 with the theme CONSUME.
CONTROLS: W/S for up and down movement. Press/hold SPACE for CONSUME
You are an anomaly with one purpose: to grow. By feasting on various exotic space objects, you can grow your mass (CYAN) or your stability (MAGENTA). But you can't eat everything you find - you must consume carefully and maintain balance, to grow in one way or another. Discover ways to progress through the levels, reaching stability (10 points) leads to the next level. There are 10 levels total, let me know how far you can get!
About the game
Game had some critical bugs in the last minute, and is generally very unbalanced. Very mathy so spent a lot time solving the same issues breaking over and over. Certainly learned a lot about creating art in-engine, as I'm not a great artist. But rendering downscaled circles and polygons in different colors and orientations make for great (procedural!) art which I'm definitely going to use in the future.
All graphics made in-engine with plenty use of the _draw function and other engine majicks. No sound as I simply didn't have the time.
